Updates for November 2025

It's been a busy month.

I've had craft fairs and shows every weekend, sometimes two in one weekend. That's a lot. It doesn't slow down until Christmas. It's a great problem to have as a business owner.

More impactful here, I was in the process of switching jobs at my school. I'm still a technology teacher, but in a brand new classroom with a very different set of responsibilities. The process went by super fast and I just started in the new position this week. It's an amazing opportunity, but so much of my time has been taken up by transition plans for my prior classes and planning for the new ones that writing, in general, has taken a back seat.

I'm happy to say that the job already feels like a perfect fit. I left work feeling not just proud of what I do, but able to literally stand on my own two feet and not have to nap for hours to recover before waking up to plan more in the middle of the night. Teacher tired hit hard this year and the new job is giving me enough breathing room to better stay afloat.

I have so many wonderful things to share with you over the coming weeks. Things like my Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein review. Things like a new author page helping you piece together the interconnected worlds of the Gannonverse. Things like another month of shows, including 2 horror specific holiday venues.

I have not forgotten you. I have had to put myself first, and I'm learning not to apologize for that need. Progress comes in small steps. Make sure you take time for yourself, too. All of this will still be here when you are ready for it.
